Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:
- The new logo for Cobb County's East Side Elementary School has received significant backlash. The logo was revealed in an email to parents on Monday. The logo has drawn comparisons to the Nazi Eagle, a symbol adopted by white supremacy groups in the United States. The school will reportedly examine the logo and consider community feedback. (Cobb County Courier)
- Is the current housing market making you feel a little overwhelmed? Patch and Redfin.com have teamed up to create a helpful list of the latest Marietta properties that have hit the market. Click to view the full list of properties that includes prices, photos, and property dimensions. (Marietta Patch)
- The Cobb County Sheriff's Office is hosting a career fair this weekend to search for deputies. The department is currently suffering a staffing shortage. The Marietta career fair will hopefully expedite the hiring process. Participants will be able to complete the recruiting physical agility test, meet with department recruiters, and interact with department personnel. The fair will be at Cobb County Safety Village on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
