Kindness Cards Requested for Dekalb County Fire Department

KIDS CARE nonprofit is asking the public to take time to create a handmade card or letter of condolence and support for the Dekalb County Fire & Rescue Department. The Dekalb Fire Department is enduring a devastating loss of Master Firefighter Preston Fant who died in the line of duty on September 8th, 2025.

Please mail Kindness/Caring Cards, letters and/or drawings of support to KIDS CARE: P.O. Box 595, Marietta, GA 30061. KIDS CARE will deliver the cards as one unit of Love to Dekalb County Fire Rescue Department. (Kindness Cards from all ages accepted and encouraged.)

Additionally, the Fant family has organized a GoFundMe in honor of Firefighter Preston Fant. A true hero gone way too soon. Preston Fant dedicated his life to serving others and leaves behind a grieving family. Let’s come together to support them during this unbearable time. Please share and donate if possible.
