MARIETTA, GA — Red Hare Brewing Company has teamed up with the Humane Society of Cobb County (HSCC) to put together the “Brews for Rescues” fundraiser. The event will take place at Red Hare Brewing Company, 1998 Delk Industrial Boulevard, from noon to 10 pm on Saturday, Sept. 28.

“The HSCC has embarked on an exciting new venture” said Sarah Cant, executive director of
the HSCC. “We are so lucky to have amazing supporters who provide assistance in many ways
and bring so much love to animals in need.”

The fundraiser will benefit the HSCC’s soon-to-be new building on their campus which will aid
in providing improved health and welfare for all animals under their care. There will be food
by Great and Plenty and drink specials for this event! Guests are encouraged to bring their own
canine companions. HSCC staff and volunteers will be available to inform guests who are
interested in learning more about their organization or those who are in need of some pet care
tips.

The mission of the Anna L. Haas Humane Society of Cobb County is to promote humane welfare and responsible animal guardianship through educational community outreach, shelter, and spay/neuter programs (www.humanecobb.org) . The society was founded in 1957 and initially independently operated from a small space within the Cobb County Animal Control facilities.

In the 1990s, the HSCC received funds which allowed them the ability to purchase and
renovate a property to house animals and facilitate adoptions. The HSCC is currently in the
process of constructing a new building on their campus near the Marietta square, which will
enable a better quality of life for the cats, dogs, and exotic animals under their care.
