Local Businesses Needed for KIDS CARE 5th Annual School Supply Drive

Partner with KIDS CARE to make a difference—sign up to host a donation collection box for new school supplies for local students in need.

KIDS CARE, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating youth service opportunities and kindness, is seeking community-minded businesses to partner in our 5th Annual "Backing the Need" Backpack & School Supply Drive, in collaboration with the Cobb County Police Department.

This annual event provides new backpacks and essential school supplies to students in need throughout Cobb County. With the growing demand each year, we rely on local businesses to help us make an even greater impact. Over the past four years, with the partnership of the Cobb County Police Department, we've led our community into donating 1,963 new backpacks with school supplies to Cobb County students in need.

We’re asking businesses to serve as drop-off locations for donated items between June 19 and July 19, 2025. KIDS CARE will provide signage, promotional support, and a donation bin if needed—making it easy to participate and give back. This is a great way to engage your company and patrons into making a difference together.

The drive culminates with a community-wide collection event on Saturday, July 19 at the Cobb Civic Center, where families, volunteers, and law enforcement come together to sort and pack backpacks. All donations are then given to the following nonprofits who deliver the goods to students in need for the start of the 25/26 school year: Ser Familia, The Center for Family Resources, Simple Needs of GA, The Center for Children and Young Adults, LiveSafe Resources and Communities in Schools Marietta/Cobb.
