Marietta Museum of History Announces Holiday Hours
The museum is also hosting holiday events for the month of December.

The Marietta Museum of History is pleased to announce its hours of operation during the Holiday Season. During Thanksgiving week when children are out of school and family and friends are visiting from out of town, make sure you avoid the crowds and the traffic at the malls by visiting the Marietta Museum of History. Touring the Museum is a perfect way to spend the Thanksgiving holidays!
During the week of Thanksgiving, the museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and open from 10am – 4pm on Monday, 11/21, Tuesday, 11/22 and Wednesday, 11/23, Friday, 11/25 and Saturday, 11/26.

The Museum uses ordinary objects to tell the extraordinary stories of Marietta and Cobb County's rich history and culture. Galleries and exhibits cover topics such as military history, home life throughout the centuries, technology and local businesses from our past. Current exhibits include Shoppin' Southern Style: Fashions from the mid-20th Century and BOOM! Toys of the Baby Boomer Generation.
Forget Black Friday mania and Shop Small. The Museum Store has a great selection of unique gifts including: books about local places and events; books by local authors; authentic Civil War artifacts; t-shirts; mugs, ornaments; and much more. We have a large selection of Big Chicken items, too. Shop Small, Shop Local, and support a good cause!

The Marietta Museum of History also has some great activities planned for the month of December as well. Visit the museum for FREE on Saturday, December 3rd from 10am-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12pm-4pm in celebration of the 30th Annual Marietta Pilgrimage: A Christmas Home Tour.
Additionally, "Save The Date" for Tuesday, December 13th from 4pm-8pm for Pop-In for Pop Culture: Holiday Treats Edition. Reminisce about holidays gone by with the music, food, games, crafts and more from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Grab yourself something sweet with our holiday treats!
