Listed are some safety reminders for you and your incoming holiday gifts during the holiday season.

From the City of Marietta: As the holidays are swiftly approaching so are the Doorstep Thieves! During this time of the year people are scouring the internet to locate that perfect gift. Once the desired item is found, it is off to checkout and then comes shipping. This is where Marietta Police Department wants to provide some safety reminders for you and your incoming holiday gifts.
Sign for package - delivery option
This ensures your package is not left unless you or a loved one signs for it. It prevents the delivery driver from leaving it on your doorstep for everyone to see.
Add a special note for delivery
If sign for package is not available, leave a note for the delivery driver to place it in a safer/less visible area.

Have packages delivered to the local post office or your place of business
Have your package shipped to a safe location where you can pick it up closer to home.
Talk to your neighbor

Several stores now offer online pick up at customer service. This is a quick and easy way to skip the long lines and ensures you receive your package.
Online Pick-Up Points-Lockers
Some shopping websites now provide "Lockers." This gives you the option to send your package to a secured locker. There are local "Lockers" in and near Marietta.
