Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour Returns Saturday, Sunday

The 35th annual tour will give visitors the chance to peek inside five decorated homes in Marietta's Kennesaw Avenue Historic District.

MARIETTA, GA — The 35th annual Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour returns this weekend, giving history lovers — or just Christmas enthusiasts — a chance to tour five historic homes decorated for the holidays in the Kennesaw Avenue Historic District.

The tours, hosted annually by the Marietta Visitors Bureau and Cobb Landmarks & Historic Society, are scheduled for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a news release.

Each year, historic homes in different parts of Marietta are picked for the tour. This year, the homes are: the Cox-Brown-Parker House at 109 Maple Avenue; the Magnolia Cottage at 103 Maple Avenue; the Northcutt-James-Ferrer House at 97 Maple Avenue; the Gentry House at 76 Maple Avenue; and the Mayes-Crissey-Clements House at 140 Stewart Avenue.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased in person at the Marietta Welcome Center or William Root House Museum. Parking is available at lots off Mill Street, at the Cobb County Parking Deck off Cherokee Street or street parking downtown.

All volunteers and guests will be required to wear a mask inside the homes and on shuttle buses, regardless of vaccination status, the release said.
