Pedestrian Hit By Car, Seriously Injured Crossing I-75 Ramp: Cobb Police

A Cobb County man, 58, was walking across the Interstate 75 northbound entrance ramp at Ernest Barrett Parkway when he was hit by a car.

COBB COUNTY, GA — A Cobb County man faces serious injuries after he was hit by a car while crossing an Interstate 75 entrance ramp, police said.

Just before 7 a.m. Saturday, Kirk Allen, 58, of Kennesaw, was walking across the I-75 northbound entrance ramp at Ernest Barrett Parkway when a car hit him, police said.

The driver did not stop and continued northbound on I-75. Police are still searching for the driver.

Allen was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries, according to a spokesperson for the Cobb County Police Department.

The crash is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 770-499-3987.
