Senate Runoff Prompts Virtual Learning Day At Cobb Schools

Cobb County Public Schools said the virtual learning day will take place on Dec. 6 due to Election Day voting.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Students in Cobb County Public Schools will have a virtual learning day Tuesday, Dec. 6, due to the U.S. Senate runoff between U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock and challenger Herschel Walker.

The school system will follow the same schedule as the general election on Nov. 8.

Students will work at home independently, according to Cobb Schools.

Teaching and learning will be available through the Cobb Teaching and Learning System though there will be no live virtual learning sessions, according to Cobb Schools.

The school system is directing questions from staff members to their immediate supervisors.
