What's Open, Closed Christmas Week 2021 In Marietta
The Christmas holiday will result in some closures and schedule changes on Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and surrounding days.

MARIETTA, GA — Christmas may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Marietta for the holiday.
While Christmas is a federal holiday, some services may start their closures on Christmas Eve. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Friday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and Saturday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day):
- Cobb County government offices and courts are closed Thursday and Friday.
- Municipal offices for the city of Marietta are closed Thursday and Friday.
- The Cobb County Public Library system is closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday for in-person and curbside services; however library's digital resources are available 24/7. Normal curbside hours resume Saturday.
- The Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools are on winter break until Jan. 5.
- Marietta garbage pick up: For residents within the city of Marietta's city limits, Thursday and Friday trash pickup routes will be delayed until Monday.
- On Friday and Saturday, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will operate buses and streetcars on Sunday schedules, while trains will operate on Saturday schedules.
- This is a federal holiday and most U.S. Postal Service post offices are closed Friday. There will be no mail delivery or pickup, with the exception of Priority Mail Express, which is delivered 365 days per year.
- All banks will be closed.
- Grocery store hours vary.
