Cobb Woman, 20, Seriously Injured In Monday Morning Wreck On I-75: Police

A Kennesaw woman, 20, was stopped in the middle lane of Interstate 75 when her car was hit. Police say she's in critical condition.

MARIETTA, GA — A 20-year-old woman from Kennesaw is in critical condition at the hospital after a car crash on Interstate 75 in Marietta Monday morning, police said.

Around 3:30 a.m. Monday, Anna West, 20, of Kennesaw, was stopped in the middle lane of I-75 northbound at the Allgood Road overpass. Police say it's not known why she was stopped in the road.

While she was stopped, another driver was headed northbound in the middle lane and hit her car. West was seriously injured and taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she's listed in critical condition.

The other driver sustained minor injuries and was released from the scene. The crash is under investigation, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Officer R. Clark at 770-794-5364.
