Gwinnett Hit-And-Run Death: Police Asking Public For Information

NORCROSS, GA β€” Gwinnett County police are asking for the public's help in solving a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian in Norcross on Aug. 2, according to a news release.

Police do not have an accurate description of the vehicle or the driver in the crash. The deceased victim's name has not been released.

The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. at Singleton Road and Harbins Ridge Drive, where officers found the victim's body, according to police.

Police urge anyone who was near the area at the time or who may have knowledge of the crash to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.

In the statement, Gwinnett police warned pedestrians to use caution when walking in poorly lit areas at night.

"Drivers should reduce distractions when driving and be aware of pedestrians especially in areas of heavy foot traffic," the statement said.
