As It Prepares to Close, Medlock Elementary to Celebrate One Final Time
The party on Saturday will close the book on 60 years of history at the school.

sympathizers will want to be at the school this Saturday. The school's PTA is throwing a shindig this weekend to celebrate the school's 60 years of history as it prepares to close on the orders of the DeKalb County School System.
Here are the details thanks to Donna Toulme:
Medlock Elementary School would like to invite students, faculty, parents, alumni, friends and the community at large to join in a celebration of its history and impact! Medlock has been a vital part of the Dekalb County School System for almost 60 years, but will be closing its doors at the end of May 2011. The celebration will be hosted at Medlock on Saturday, May 7 from 12 to 4.

Tour the school, take a walk down memory lane, make new memories with fun and games for the whole family, and take the opportunity to say farewell.
We¹ll have food, fun for the kids and photos from years past. Speaking of which, if you have any photos or mementos from previous Medlock years or know how to get in touch with any former students/teachers, we need your help!
