Police: Saturday Buford Highway Killing Not Random
Two suspects were involved in the apartment shooting that left one person dead, police said.

An altercation in an apartment on Buford Highway led to the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man Saturday evening, DeKalb County police said Monday.
The victim, whose name police have not released, let two suspects into his apartment at 3587 Buford Highway at about 4:20pm, said Mekka Parish, police spokeswoman. An altercation between the three men began for an undetermined reason, and one of the suspects fired a weapon and struck the victim multiple times, she said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the suspects knew the victim, Parish said, and there were several other people in the apartment who were not involved in the homicide.
