  1. Sandy Springs has approved a $2,000 agreement with AT&T to expand its fiber network along Windsor Parkway and Peachtree Dunwoody Road. The expansion is aimed at creating a complete system with redundancy, which will allow uninterrupted communication when other fiber paths are down. The city will share joint use of two poles and 800 linear feet of AT&T conduit to install the fiber systems. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. Authorities are using a newly age-processed image to try and solve the mystery of a local 9-year-old boy's disappearance over 50 years ago. Anthony Murrill went missing from his Atlanta home in 1971, with police initially believing he had run away. However, a neighbor reported seeing him get into a vehicle with an unknown adult man.   3. Authorities are searching for a murder suspect who fled from deputies following a chase in the area of Cascade Road. According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, the suspect crashed into a bystander's vehicle, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was driving a stolen vehicle from Florida and remains at large. (11Alive.com WXIA)
  4. On Apr. 13, there will be a Women's Business Networking event titled
    "Imperfect Pedalers" at TURN Studio in Sandy Springs.

  • Spalding Drive Charter Elementary has won the Sandy Springs Education
    Force STEAM Showcase attendance prize

  • Dionte Johnson, a 30-year-old former Atlanta hotel clerk, was indicted on two counts of trafficking a person for sexual servitude. Johnson is the latest suspect to be indicted in a trafficking investigation that began with a traffic stop in nearby Cherokee County. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
