Another Candidate Enters Race for City Council Seat

Real estate professional Chiteka Jackson has announced her run for the seat vacated by Ashley Jenkins.

Sandy Springs resident Chiteka Jackson has announced her run for the City Council seat vacated by Ashely Jenkins. 

The real estate professional is a member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Sharon Community Church.

A special election will be held on March 15.

Candidates must be a resident of Sandy Springs for at least a full year, and a resident in District 4 for six months.

Residents interested in the District 4 City Council seat can file a Notice of Candidacy at the City Clerk’s Office, at City Hall, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Feb. 7-11.

In addition to Jackson, businessman Gabriel Sterling has announced plans to run for the seat.
