Here are the top three stories today in Sandy Springs:
- The Atlanta Science Festival presented by Delta Air Lines is back in nearby Piedmont Park from now until Saturday, Mar. 25. Curious kids and adults can explore 150 interactive and educational events, providing an opportunity to learn from experts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Many events are free to attend, but some do require a nominal fee. (Metro Atlanta CEO)
- Around the corner in Buckhead, the Target that officials say was set on fire in late January is set to reopen on Sunday, Mar. 12. Investigators announced that they believe the fires at the Target on Piedmont Road and Walmart stores on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Howell Mill Road were set as distractions for shoplifters to escape. The fires ended up causing millions of dollars in damage to three stores. (WSB Atlanta)
- City Green Live, a popular Friday night monthly music series, officially kicks off on Apr. 28 at City Green Park. Similar to previous years, lawn seating will be free to everyone and reserved table seating is available for purchase right now. All City Springs Members can enjoy pre-show receptions featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a private cash bar on the Terrace overlooking the City Green. (Sandy Springs Government News)
