Car Hits Semi's Tire, Causes Semi To Land Over Sandy Springs Guardrail

The entrance ramp to Interstate 285 east is reopened after the crash Friday morning.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — All lanes are reopened after a two-vehicle crash had the Interstate 285 eastbound entrance ramp at Peachtree Dunwoody Road closed for a few hours Friday morning, according to the Sandy Springs Police Department.

Police said a sedan hit the tire of a semi-truck, which caused the truck to go over the guardrail and onto the Peachtree Dunwoody Road ramp.

It is unknown if there are any injuries.

Two lanes remained open on I-285 east while Peachtree Dunwoody Road northbound at I-285 was closed, police said.
