• Police/fire departments have expanded since incorporation (roughdraftatlanta.com) — Sandy Springs’ police and fire services have grown substantially since the city’s 2006 launch, capped by a new $56 million police headquarters and municipal court on Morgan Falls Road. City leaders also just approved a $2.1 million design contract to replace two aging fire stations and renovate a third, aiming to modernize emergency response across local neighborhoods.
