Cultural Center Input Meeting Set For Nov. 29
Sandy Springs will host this public visioning session for the proposed project in the Studio Theatre at City Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Sandy Springs residents who want to weigh in on the possibility of the city taking on a new Cultural Center project are invited to attend a meeting scheduled for this week.
The public visioning session for this possible project will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 in the Studio Theatre at City Springs.
Sandy Springs notes the proposed Cultural Center would go hand-in-hand with the objectives outlined in the 2012 City Center Master Plan. The center would be to "foster creativity and support for arts in the community through education, innovation and collaboration."

According to the city, the potential location would be in the vicinity of Hilderband Drive and Blue Stone Road, east of Sandy Springs Circle and north of Sandy Springs Place.

Sandy Springs notes its exploring partnerships with Visit Sandy Springs, Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust to get the Cultural Center up and running.
Houser Walker was selected as the lead architect for the project. As part of Thursday's session, residents will have the opportunity to meet the design team, hear an update on the project’s process and provide input on how to make the Center a vital asset within the community.
