Sandy Springs, Clarkston Drivers Killed In GA 400 Wrong-Way Head-On Collision Identified

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Authorities have identified the two people killed Sunday on Georgia 400 in a head-on collision.

Sandy Springs Police and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office have identified the drivers as 32-year-old Damis Lider of Clarkston and 24-year-old Zoe Robinson of Sandy Springs.

Police said Lider drove his Hyundai Sonata the wrong way onto southbound Georgia 400 from Abernathy Road sometime before 5:30 a.m., and proceeded north.

Sometime shortly after that, as numerous calls were made to police reporting the wrong-way driver, police said Lider’s car struck Robinson’s blue Hyundai Sonata just south of Roberts Drive.

The southbound lanes of Georgia 400 were closed for nearly four hours Sunday as emergency crews worked on the scene.

No one else was in the car with either driver and both were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck, police said. No one else was injured.
