  1. Early in-person voting for the runoff election is currently underway. Sandy Springs residents will be casting ballots at the North Fulton Service Center and the Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex. The polling locations will be accepting voters from 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. Click for a full list of voting locations. (Black America)
  2. The baby born in a Fulton County McDonald's bathroom has been named Nandi Ariyah Morémi Phillips. Nandi's mother reports that her name was chosen after Queen Morémi and Queen Nandi, two "strong and beautiful queens." Nandi is said to be a happy and healthy baby, and her mother appreciates the support she has received from the community. (Honey Parenting)
  3. The City of Sandy Springs will be hosting the Martin Luther King, Jr. Art & Craft Festival on Jan. 16 at 1:00 p.m. This is a free, family-friendly event to celebrate Dr. King's legacy and impact. There will be kid-friendly menu items available for purchase. (City of Sandy Springs)
