  1. Two polling locations in Fulton County had to extend voting hours for the May 24 Primary Election due to technical issues. The locations were set to stay open for a half hour past the 7 p.m. closing time to allow Fulton County voters to cast their ballots. The polls were open across the county from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Patch)
  2. A local nonprofit will host an event to promote literacy among young people on May 28. The Cross Keys Foundation from Brookhaven, which serves as a scholarship source for Cross Keys High School students, will host the “Makers’ Event” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will commemorate 10 years of book distribution throughout the neighborhood via local "little libraries."
