Sandy Springs Boil Water Advisory Lifted After Pipe Repairs
According to a media report, multiple water main breaks left parts of Atlanta flooded Tuesday.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A boil water advisory for Sandy Springs was lifted and no contamination of the public water system was found Tuesday morning after repairs were made to a 48-inch transmission main, officials said.
The main is located at Riverside Road near the Don White Memorial Park, the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management said in a news release. The department provides water to Sandy Springs and Atlanta.
After issuing a boil water advisory Sunday, watershed officials said Tuesday water can now be used for all purposes without boiling. Watershed officials said repairs were in response to a breach on the main.
