Sandy Springs Buys City Green Outdoor Stage
Sandy Springs staff members note the stage has been an "overwhelming success."

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The outdoor stage taking up residence on the City Green at City Springs will become a permanent fixture. That's because the Sandy Springs City Council has voted to go ahead and purchase the stage.
Council approved amending the budget for the project by $245,000 to cover the cost needed to buy the stage from Atlanta Rigging & Staging Services, LLC. The original budget for the project was about $85,000, and the additional funds would come from capital contingency.
According to city documents, the budget amendment means the city would no longer have to make lease payments and Sandy Springs would own the stage. Sandy Springs notes the stage has been an "overwhelming success," and after reviewing its use, a proposal was floated for the city to consider acquiring the structure.
