  1. Sandy Springs residents will begin seeing more art sculpture additions to the city, as the Sandy Springs City Council decided to purchase one sculpture from the Arts in the Open Sculpture competition each year. Staff explained their criteria for sculptures is whether they are safe, durable, and appropriate; and they also look at the colors, forms, materials, and shapes. According to Art Sandy Springs Chair Cheri Morris, the board will soon have the money to purchase another sculpture to place at Hammond Park. (RoughDraft Atlanta)

Though he is expected to be okay, Atlanta News staff are warning individuals to protect themselves as much as possible when visiting a gun range to avoid accidental injuries. (WANF)
