1. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Jul. 12, emergency services responded to a structure fire at 425 The North Chace. Flames were discovered engulfing the roof of a townhome, but all affected residents were successfully evacuated, and the specific unit was unoccupied during the incident. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control, while authorities are now conducting an investigation led by the Fire Marshal's office to ascertain the cause. 2. Sandy Springs will host its "Sundown Social" today, Jul. 13, which offers a laid-back neighborhood gathering featuring live music and specialty cocktails! The event takes place at City Green Plaza, opening at 5:00 p.m., with sidewalk entertainment from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a variety of drinks including beer, wine, and a signature cocktail available for purchase. This week's Sundown Social will showcase the all-female rockin' blues band, Blue Velvet Atlanta, along with their signature drink, "Down Home Blues," and food vendors like Dirty South Que. Fulton County election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss have accused Rudy Giuliani, the former lawyer for Donald Trump, of withholding evidence in their defamation lawsuit related to the 2020 election. They claim that Giuliani falsely accused them of ballot fraud.
