  1. Cobb County's newest city, Mableton, recently had its first official meeting. Cobb County and Mableton officials had their first meeting together with Mayor and City Council members who were elected earlier this year. The new city's first task is to begin collecting taxes, fees, and to start the city's revenue stream as it begins to move through its two-year transition period. (Cobb County Government)
  2. Target put the City of Smyrna in the national news yesterday after announcing that it has opened and will test an extension facility in Smyrna. The local facility is the first of its kind for Target, with a goal to help get online orders to more shoppers the day after they purchase — particularly those who live in suburbs or neighborhoods of major cities. (CNBC)
  3. Update: Smyrna Parks and Recreation's upcoming Movie In The Park event location was moved to North Cooper Lake Park. The screening of "Top Gun Maverick" will take place this Saturday, Jun. 24 at 8:00 p.m. You can register online ($10 per family) here. (Smyrna Parks and Recreation via Facebook)
