Work Continues on Kidscape Village
The new play structure will feature equipment for children ages two to 12.
Smyrna’s Parks and Recreation Director Steve Ciaccio said the city’s “favorite playground” should be open again by mid-September. and is being replaced by new plastic and metal play equipment.
“The installation has been slow but we’ll have that puppy done by Sept 14,” Ciaccio said.
The $139,342.50 project is funded by a Community Development Block Grant and includes mulch for the play area, installation of the new play structure and the equipment itself.
