Georgia Mother Arrested In Infant's Drowning Death: Report

A 31-year-old mother from Lithonia was arrested Thursday after police say her 7-month-old child drowned in a bathtub, according to WSB-TV.

DECATUR, GA — A mother was arrested in connection with her infant's death Thursday while she was at the Decatur funeral home for the child, according to a report from WSB-TV Atlanta.

Shaquila Feaster of Lithonia is being charged with second-degree murder in the drowning death of 7-month-old Ja’Lonnie Small after police say the child was left alone in a bathtub on July 30. The child died at a local hospital on Aug. 4, according to the TV station.

Feaster, 31, was booked into DeKalb County Jail, where she is being held without bond, according to jail records.
