Man Faces Murder Charges In DeKalb Deadly Shooting Of 2 (patch.com) — Stone Mountain residents are learning that a shooting initially described as a murder-suicide is now being investigated as a double murder, with a surviving man charged with two counts of malice murder. DeKalb County Police say the early-morning domestic dispute on Chatfield Drive left a woman and a girl dead, while the suspect remains hospitalized before transfer to the county jail.

Georgia Men Pretend to Be Police Officers, Hold Driver at Gunpoint Until a Real Cop Pulls Up (motorbiscuit.com) — Two security guards are accused of boxing in a driver and holding him at gunpoint outside a Stone Mountain preschool after a minor traffic dispute that began in DeKalb County. Gwinnett County police say a real officer intervened on North Deshong Road, stopping the confrontation and leading to multiple felony charges and jail without bond.
   

3. 21-year-old college football player killed in Stone Mountain house fire (fox5atlanta.com) — A 21-year-old college football player visiting family died in a house fire Monday afternoon at his grandfather’s home in a Stone Mountain neighborhood, and investigators are still searching for the cause. Firefighters rushed into the Rockcliff Court residence after a neighbor reported someone might be trapped, but the victim was already deceased and the home is considered a total loss.
   

4. Crews respond to Dunwoody house fire (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Fire crews battled a serious house fire in Dunwoody Monday night, while officials also confirmed a separate Stone Mountain house fire turned deadly among several DeKalb County blazes.
