Accused Thief Drives Stolen MARTA Bus To Stone Mountain Park: Reports
The bus was stolen from Tucker, where the person was accused of verbally assaulting the MARTA bus driver, reports say.
TUCKER — A person is being charged after being accused of stealing a vacant MARTA bus at Lawrenceville Highway and Steel Drive and driving it to Stone Mountain Park, Atlanta News First and Fox 5 Atlanta reported Sunday.
The media outlets say the incident took place Sunday evening in Tucker, where the person was accused of verbally assaulting the bus driver before stealing the bus. The driver had exited the bus to report the assault, the outlets reported.
The person was arrested at Stone Mountain Park and charged on suspicion of hijacking a motor vehicle, Atlanta News First reported.
