Fundraiser in Tucker Aug. 8 for 9/11 Memorial
The Blue Ribbon Grill will donate 15% of dinner proceeds as Public Safety officials display a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.

The Blue Ribbon Grill, 4006 Lavista Road in Tucker, will donate 15 percent of the proceeds from its evening dinner service from 5-9 tonight (Aug. 8 only) to the DeKalb 9/11 Memorial Project, county officials announced.
Officers from DeKalb's Public Safety departments will be on hand for the fundraiser as a piece of steel from the World Trade Center will be on display. The steel will serve as a focal element in a 9/11 Memorial, which will be located in front of DeKalb's Fire and Police Headquarters.
The memorial will also include a sculpture by artist Curtis James Miller of a Phoenix wing rising from the ground. The memorial will be unveiled during this year's 10-year commemoration of the 9/11 attacks.
