Pregnant Woman Shot In DeKalb County

CLARKSTON, GA — A pregnant woman was shot Thursday in the 6600 block of Old Singleton Lane, DeKalb County Police said.

The shooting took place around 5:45 a.m., when officers found the woman at the scene with a gunshot wound, police said.

The woman was pregnant at the time of the shooting, and doctors took over her care once she arrived at the hospital, police said.

A neighbor told Atlanta News First she was about to share a sandwich with the woman when gunshots rang.

Details of a suspect are not known.

A motive is unknown.
