Rep. Viola Davis and the City of Tucker to Host Transportation Town Hall

ATLANTA – State Representative Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), in partnership with the City of Tucker, will host a transportation town hall meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Tucker City Hall in Tucker, Georgia.

“Transportation directly impacts the quality of life, safety and economic growth in our communities,” said Rep. Davis. “This town hall provides an opportunity for residents to hear updates, ask questions and ensure their voices are heard as these major projects move forward.”

“As a City Council Representative, it is my priority to continue my efforts to focus on transportation solutions for my voters,” said Cara Schroeder, Tucker City Council Dist. 2 Post 1. “I promised to make major changes to our infrastructure when I was elected. We’ve worked together on many concerns with positive solutions that impact safer roads and intersections.”

This community meeting will provide residents with updates on transportation projects that directly impact Tucker and surrounding areas.

Agenda highlights include:

• City of Tucker: updates on current and future transportation projects within the city.
• Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT): overview of the I-285 Top End Express Lane project and its anticipated impact on traffic, commuters and local neighborhoods.

Rep. Davis encourages all residents, business owners and community stakeholders to attend, learn more about these projects and participate in the discussion.
