2 Darien Residents Face Domestic Battery Charges
In another case, a man was charged when he returned to a place where he was prohibited, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Domestic battery
- A 25-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 7600 block of Sussex Creek Drive was arrested about 3 p.m. on New Year's Eve at her home on a domestic battery charge. The victim had a cut on the lower lip, police said. The 25-year-old was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 20-year-old Darien man who lives in the 300 block of Plainfield Road was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday at his home on two counts of domestic battery. The victim had scratches to the chest, police said. The 20-year-old was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Trespassing

- A 47-year-old Darien man who lives in the 7800 block of Del Court was cited about 3:30 a.m. Saturday on a trespassing charge. Police said the man trespassed at the Speedway gas station, 7502 Cass Ave., where an employee said the man had been told not to enter the property in previous instances. The man was released.
Retail theft
- A 60-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Sunday on a retail theft charge. Police said the woman did not ring up all items at the self-checkout counter. The woman was released.
DUI

- A 22-year-old Darien man who lives in the 7500 block of Farmingdale Drive was arrested about 2 a.m. on New Year's Day on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, possession of open alcohol and driving too fast for conditions. Police said the man crashed into a tree on the median near 75th Street and Farmingdale Drive. He was given a court date and then released.
