Darien Native Earns Medical Degree, Starts Residency at Rush

Glisan is a 2018 graduate of Hinsdale South High School, where she was a nationally recognized award winner in Spanish.

DARIEN, IL — Adrianna “Addie” Glisan has graduated from the Creighton University School of Medicine. She is the daughter of Kelly and Erna Glisan of Darien. The conferring of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees took place last May during a commencement ceremony on the university’s campus in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Glisan is a 2018 graduate of Hinsdale South High School, where she was a standout member of the varsity volleyball team and a nationally recognized award winner in Spanish.

She continued her education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Spanish. During her undergraduate years, she balanced her rigorous studies with service as a volunteer at Berman Hospital and was an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Following her graduation from Creighton, Dr. Glisan recently began her anesthesiology
residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. She joins Rush in its mission to improve the
health of diverse communities through the integration of outstanding patient care, research, and
community partnership.

Her medical degree coupled with her fluency/minor in Spanish will likely be significant assets in the diverse clinical environment of Chicago.
