Huntington Bank Partners with NSYMCA to Expand Access to Community Strong Financial Assistance Program
NSYMCA to be honored at Huntington's Northbrook Branch Community Launch Event on January 24

January 2026: Northbrook, IL - The North Suburban YMCA (NSYMCA) announced today that Huntington Bank has generously donated $10,000 in support of the Y’s Community Strong Financial Assistance Program, helping ensure access to programs and services for individuals and families throughout the community.
Each year, the NSYMCA’s financial assistance program supports more than 2,600 individuals and families by providing access to programs and tools that promote healthier lifestyles, meaningful connections, and personal confidence. Through this program, the Y remains committed to ensuring that everyone—regardless of age, income, or background—has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
“We are incredibly grateful for our new partnership with Huntington Bank and humbled that they chose the North Suburban YMCA as their nonprofit of choice,” said Kathy Fielding, Chief Executive Officer of the North Suburban YMCA. “Charitable support like this is essential to our ability to serve the community. These dollars directly impact our neighbors by keeping programs accessible to those who need them most and allowing us to continue expanding services that meet evolving community needs.”

Over the past five years, the Y’s charitable support has become increasingly reliant on private donors and corporate giving. These contributions are critical to sustaining scholarship programs that ensure no one is turned away due to financial hardship. In response to growing and changing demographics, the NSYMCA has also made significant investments in new programs and services, creating more inclusive and accessible pathways to healthy living for all.
“At Huntington, we believe strong communities are built when people have access to the resources they need to succeed,” said Patrice DeCorrevont, president for Huntington’s Illinois/Wisconsin region. “Partnering with the North Suburban YMCA allows us to invest directly in the well-being of families and individuals in the communities we serve, and we are proud to support the Y’s mission.”
