New Libertyville Coffee Shop Meant To Serve As 'Third Space': Owner
Frunchroom Collective is planning to open soon at 1193 S. Milwaukee Avenue.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Talks over needing more "third spaces" — or places to connect and come together — spurred a new concept for a coffee shop in Libertyville.
Frunchroom Collective is planning to open soon at 1193 S. Milwaukee Avenue in the Greentree Plaza shopping center in Libertyville. "Frunchroom" refers to a living room or space where you can relax, and Frunchroom Collective owner Ivy Sukenik said the new coffee shop is meant to provide just that.
“We were looking for a space that could house our concept that had a welcoming community feel and it feels like more and more people are talking about needing a third space — or some place to connect and come together,” Sukenik told the Daily Herald. “Our mission is to create a frunchroom space for the community so people feel cozy, warm and welcomed."
