2 Kids Stabbed In Lisle; Woman In Custody: Police

LISLE, IL — Two young children are in stable condition after they were stabbed in a home in Lisle Friday. Police say a woman was arrested shortly after the incident.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Matson Lane just before 5:30 p.m. by a man who said he found his children "covered in blood." He said someone he knew was inside the home and armed with a knife.

After officers got to the scene, the children were taken to a nearby hospital and the woman was taken into custody.

“This is an active investigation, but there is no threat to the community at this time,” Lisle Police Chief Kevin Licko said in a statement.
