4 Arrests Made, 21 Tickets Issued During Holiday Crackdown In Lisle
Lisle police arrested three people for driving with an invalid or suspended license and one person for a cannabis-related violation.
LISLE, IL — Four people were arrested and nearly two dozen tickets were issued amid increased patrols in Lisle for a holiday traffic safety campaign.
The safety crackdown began Dec. 13 as part of the statewide "Click It or Ticket" and "Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over" initiatives. During this time, the following arrests and citations were reported:
- 3 arrests for driving with invalid or suspended driver's license
- 1 arrest for cannabis possession
- 7 tickets for driving without insurance
- 6 speeding tickets
- 4 tickets related to vehicle registration
- 3 tickets for cellphone usage
- 1 ticket for a loud muffler
“We can’t stress it enough: Impaired driving is a deadly gamble,” Lisle Sergeant William
Wise said in a statement.

Sgt. Wise added, “It’s illegal, it’s irresponsible and it puts lives at risk – yours, your passengers’ and everyone else’s on the road. Campaigns like ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ empower
us to address this issue directly and send a clear message. If you’re under the influence
of alcohol, cannabis or anything else, don’t drive."
