DuPage Residents Can Recycle Electronics, Clothes At Event In Lisle

DuPage County residents can unload unwanted items ahead of the holidays at Lisle's Electronics and Clothing Recycling Event.

LISLE, IL — As the new year approaches, DuPage County residents can get a fresh start by unloading unwanted electronics and clothes at Lisle's last Electronics and Clothing Recycling Event of 2023. The event will be held in the commuter lot near Lisle Village Hall on Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Below is a list of electronic items that will be accepted for recycling:

  • Blenders, microwaves, coffee pots, toasters
  • Fax machines, phones, printers, scanners
  • Computers, modems, laptops, tablets, keyboards, drives
  • Electronic cables, cords and adaptors
  • Video game consoles
  • Stereos, VCRs, DVD players
  • Speakers

Televisions and computer monitors can be recycled for $25 or $35, depending on their size.

Clothing that is donated will be recycled via RewearAble, which resells clothing or repurposes textiles into insulation, cleaning rags and other materials.

  • Clothes and shoes
  • Bedding
  • Rags and towels
  • Cloth purses
  • Cloth toys
