Gun Found In Student's Room At Benedictine University In Lisle
Police were called to the scene after reports the student had shown the gun to other students.

LISLE, IL — A gun was found in a student's dorm room at Benedictine University Tuesday night, police say.
Officers were called to the university just before midnight after reports that the student had shown the gun to other students. Lisle police were on hand as Benedictine University security searched the student's dorm.
According to police, no threats were made, but the university issued a shelter-in-place for the residence hall "out of an abundance of caution," a news release said. Efforts to find the students continued "throughout the night," with help from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office and the Darien and Woodridge Police Departments.
