LISLE, IL — The Lisle Police and Public Works Department will take part in National Night Out on Aug. 5, a nationwide effort to connect police officers and community members. The National Night Out and Touch-a-Truck event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lisle Police Department.

Visitors can get a firsthand look at police cars, fire trucks and other vehicles used by the village's police, fire and public works departments. In addition to the touch-a-truck opportunities, there will be live K-9 and SWAT demonstrations.

The Lisle Police Department will be open for attendees to take tours. Police officers and other village employees will be onsite to meet and greet visitors and answer questions.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event, and giveaways will be held.
