Lisle Library Seeking Feedback from Community

The Lisle Library is reaching out to the Lisle community through the end of September to seek feedback on ways to improve a building that “is back in the early 80’s,” library director Shannon Halikias writes in a letter published by the Suburban Life.

“In order to cost-efficiently manage our resources, we are delaying a few major projects to take a thoughtful look at what not only needs to be done, but also what should be done,” Halikias writes.

In particular, the letter says, the library is looking for ideas with how to fix the parking lot, which has several problems: too small, no drop-off points, various safety hazards, etc. 

Questions on the survey cover potential exterior and interior improvements, use of a proposed “media lab” and various software/connectivity, the parking lot, a “drive-up service window,” a “café area”  and more.
