Lisle Man Faces Gun Charges After Incident In Naperville

Jihad Yousef Yamin, 23, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the Feb. 11 incident on Odyssey Court.

LISLE, IL — A Lisle man faces multiple felony charges after police say he had a stolen gun in his possession without a valid FOID card or a concealed carry license. Commander Ricky Krakow told Patch the arrest stemmed from "self-initiated proactive patrols by a police officer in the parking lot" of TopGolf in Naperville.

Krakow said officers noticed a permit was improperly displayed on a Mercedes-Benz in the lot. When the officers got out of their squad car to get the vehicle identification number of the Mercedes, Krakow told Patch, they saw a gun "in plain view" in the car.

After police saw the car leave the TopGolf parking lot, they initiated a traffic stop. The driver then pulled into the Whirlyball parking lot at 3103 Odyssey Ct.
