LISLE, IL — Lisle patrol officers will be out in full force for Halloween to help ensure that drivers and trick-or-treaters stay safe. Police will especially be on the lookout for drunk and impaired drivers, per a news release from the village.
Lisle police recommend taking the following safety precautions:
- Get a ride from a designated driver who is sober
- Take public transit
- Call a cab or use a rideshare service
- Wear your seatbelt
- Don't let friends drive impaired
- Call police if you see an impaired driver on the road
- If you're walking, make sure you're joined by a sober friend
“Alcohol and cannabis impair your ability to drive safely,” Sergeant William Wise said in a statement.
