Lisle Sept./Oct. Newsletter Now Available Online

Find the Village's official news bulletin for the months of September and October here, including an autumnal greeting from Mayor Joe Broda.

The Village of Lisle's September/October 2013 Neighbors of Lisle newsletter is now online, headlined by a seasonal greeting from Lisle Mayor Joe Broda.

"I can't believe how quickly the summer has flown by, and I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the many special events that really made the season come alive in Lisle," Mayor Broda writes in his "From the Mayor..." introduction. "A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who made [Lisle summer events] possible and so much fun for all involved.

"We continue to be cautiously optimistic about signs of life in the economy," Broda adds, citing the coming Avant at the Arboretum and Arbor Trails developments, the new automotive institution at Universal Technical Institute and the featuring of Lisle in West Suburban Magazine.

Other articles featured in the newsletter include a welcoming for new trustee Bob Mendel, branch- and leaf-pickup information, Halloween safety tips, the downtown's "Harvest the Fun" fall campaign and an article about coal tar-based sealants.
