Lisle, Woodridge To Hold Joint September 11 Remembrance Ceremony
The ceremony will honor those who lost their lives in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
LISLE, IL — Lisle and Woodridge will join forces to present a joint September 11 remembrance ceremony Wednesday. The ceremony will pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
Officials and members of both villages' fire and police departments will gather with community members at Lisle-Woodridge Fire District (LWFD) Station 1, 1005 School Dr., Lisle at 8:30 a.m.
LWFD Honor Guard will post the colors and the National Anthem will be performed by Fire Medic II Christopher Doruff. After an invocation, LWFD Deputy Chief Scott Gray will share remarks to pay tribute to those who died.

At 8:46 a.m., there will be a moment of silence, followed by Amazing Grace led by retired Woodridge Police Chief Brian Cunningham.
