Man Accused Of Beating Pregnant Girlfriend In Lisle
Police say Donald White, 26, punched, dragged and beat his girlfriend while she was five months pregnant.

LISLE, IL — A Lisle man faces felony charges after prosecutors say he beat his girlfriend, who is five months pregnant, fracturing her arm and collarbone and dislocating her shoulder. Donald White, 26, of the 2200 block of Abbeywood Drive, was charged with aggravated domestic battery and one count of aggravated battery to a pregnant or physically handicapped person.
Police were called to White's home just before 1 p.m. on Monday by his girlfriend's mother. According to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office, shortly after White came home, he punched his girlfriend, dragged her across the living room and continued to hit her head and body "multiple times."
She was taken to a local hospital and treated for the injuries mentioned above. White was taken into custody and is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $100,000 bond.

"There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for the type of violent behavior alleged against Mr. White," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement. "What I find particularly troubling in this case is that the victim is currently in her fifth month of pregnancy. I thank the Lisle Police Department for their efforts in this case as well as Assistant State’s Attorney Christina Kye for her work in securing charges against Mr. White."
Lisle Police Chief Kevin Licko added, "Domestic violence can happen to anyone; in this case, it impacted both a woman and her unborn child."
